Prayer of principle (2)
Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good.
This God essence, called the Christ, was fully expressed in Jesus.
The second of the 5 principles of Unity distinguishes that we are the essence of God. As we share God’s identity, that identity is spiritual. That we are “in God’s image” means not that we look like God (nor God like us) but that we are of the same Spirit.
From A Course in Miracles is this:
Today I achieve God’s idea of me.
I am certain God’s idea of me is that I am an expression of God, of Spirit. The idea that our identity is the same.
And so I pray,
Gracious God, thank you for having me as your idea.
A good-to-great idea. Thank you!
Your spirit, which is you, lights me up. Your light shines within me, shines from me.
Bless you, God, that I know the joy and beauty that I know are you, a presence in me.
Thank you, God, that I am not just of you nor from you but that I am you and you are me.
And so it is.
Amen
