Pure prayer

A pure sky of prayer

A good friend commented recently that nothing is so pure as prayer.

Every morning I enjoy a 7 Step Prayer. Perhaps more on that in the future. Probably so.

This morning, between the Acceptance and the Request steps, my friend’s statement crowded my mind. Each word felt as if it took inordinate space in my brain.

NOTHING IS SO PURE AS PRAYER.

And then the words began to multiply.

NOTHING IS SO PURE AS PRAYER.

NOTHING IS SO PURE AS PRAYER.

NOTHING IS SO PURE AS PRAYER.

Then like cells each word divided.

NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING

IS SO IS SO IS SO

PURE PURE PURE

AS PRAYER AS PRAYER AS PRAYER

It’s been hard to imagine how wonderful I’ve felt all day.

But easy to accept.
