My granddad often said, “It takes a strong [person] to do a day’s work.” I’ve come to realize he didn’t just mean physical strength.

Source of Strength,

With eagerness I affirm that you give me strength

all the strength I need, in every way I need it.

I am glad to know the constant inflow of your strength

that becomes my strength.

I am comfortable knowing my helplessness without you,

as I am joyful knowing without you is impossible.

The strength from you I gladly receive

that I may use it in many ways in today’s work.

And so it is. Amen.
