Prayer for the Week, ending.
The work week, even if only 40 hours, takes its toll. Our time off, whether actual weekend or scattered through the week, gives us the break we relish in so many ways.
Gives us the break for which we have such gratitude.
Tireless Spirit,
the end of the work week
opens our hearts to offer thanks:
thanks for successful week of work,
thanks for a break to enjoy free time,
thanks for the chance to give our time to something else,
thanks that we may loosen our minds from times of work and job and stress,
thanks that we may turn our bodies from work day routines,
thanks that we may know our spirit takes refreshment from both our work and time away.
And, Spirit, if it is ours to work today, tomorrow
our thanks is that we may
and that a time of rest and refueling will follow.
And so it is. Amen.
Enjoy your weekend!
