Running w/ God
This was a beautiful, gray, humid and misty morning for an ever-longer run at Lady Bird Lake. And so it was a beautiful run.
Focusing on nothing and feeling I received everything, I enjoyed a wonderful run with God. Dozens of occurrences gave me “Thank you, God!” moments.
Hurried duffel-packing made me run sockless. First time since high school track, when my feet were tougher or blisters were less painful. Thank you, God, that blisters remind me of the wonderful run.
So many babies in jogging strollers. Most of them beautifully oblivious to anything but their feet. Thank you, God, that you create again and again and again.
Conversations heard in the instant passing: “We’re not so sure about the wedding, what to do….”; “He’s not as easy to work for…”; “I’m sure we’ll figure out how to…”. Thank you, God, for life as we know it. Thank you more that what is real is your creation, not this human-plane.
