How many ways to pray?
Living is praying.
Every breath–as it continues life–gives thanks for life. Every breath, then, says, “Thank you, God, for the life you bless us with.” Even if we are not conscious that it’s true, we say a prayer with every breath. [If breathing is involuntary, is praying?]
Every smile–as it brightens life–adds to the blessings life contains. The simple action of lifting the lips celebrates from the heart, whether the smile is to another person, to the beauty of the day, or to our own inner joys. [Smiling feels good. Praying does, too.]
Every blink–as it clears our life-sight–shows us the ever-present, eternal moment that is “now.” Each blink announces a completely new world, freshly filled with ongoing forever spirit. [The blink of an eye is how fast a prayer is given. And answered.]
Praying is living.
