Looking the storm in the eye

Praying hard and fast that Hurricane Irene will turn east and dissipate over the Atlantic is a good idea.

The media, however, counters the intention with “promises” that rain will be of disastrous promotions, that power outages for hundreds of thousands are “guaranteed”, and that floods and tidal surges are going to be monumental.

Seems like we’re working against each other. But I still bet on praying! How about you?

Living, loving God,
I see Hurricane Irene in all her natural beauty
turning east, sailing swiftly over the Atlantic,
expending her power and glory.
Allowing the millions of your children on the Eastern Seaboard relief and gratitude.
And so it is.
Amen.
