Bodily Harmony
…do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you,
which you have from God?
I have long liked that passage. The human body, no matter its shape or size, is such a beautiful, joyful subject for thanksgiving. How accurate to view it and to know it as a temple for our spiritual Being, if only temporarily.
So it’s almost humorous irony that walking down a single aisle at the grocery store I saw signs for Anti-Diarrheals, Daily Laxatives, Cleansers and Detox, Lactose Relief, Pain Relief and Sleep Aids.
Whew. Even world-renowned temples require upkeep. Our body may of occasion want or need such remedies. However, I believe the real resolution for aches and dis-ease is to affirm the true harmony among our body, mind, and Spirit. We simply need to express the consciousness that we are first and foremost Spiritual Being. We then recognize our mind conveys the Will to our body. Our body carries out the co-creative combo of our will and Spirit’s Will.
Thanks to ever-present Spirit, we have the power to co-create, to affirm, and express complete harmony of Being.
And praying is the surest way to such expression.
Beautiful Spirit,
we affirm and accept the perfect integration
of Spirit, mind and body that comprise our Being.
We are thankful for the independence we are given
that Spirit is present in our mind
that our mind may instruct our body
that our body responds to Spirit in deed and action.
The harmony sounds our beautiful awareness
that Spirit fills every cell of our being,
that Spirit, mind and body are our Being.
We are thankful for the music,
all parts in perfect harmony.
And so it is. Amen.
Love,
