An introduction to Praying for Prosperity
Praying Prosperity is a 40-day prayer process designed to increase your
- Perceptions and definitions of prosperity;
- Appreciation of the spiritual basis of abundance and prosperity;
- Recognition of your prosperity: that you already possess and that is yours to claim.
Praying Prosperity consciously eliminates any preposition. It’s not praying to or praying for or praying about prosperity. It’s simply and really praying the reality of prosperity: all that prosperity means, all the ways prosperity exists, and all the prosperity that is ours to claim.
This 40-day program contains 10 prayers: 1 unique Prosperity Prayer to use each day for a 10-day cycle. By repeating the cycle 3 more times, ou pray prosperity for 40 days. Each Prosperity Prayer focuses on our spiritual connection with prosperity. You can use and experience these prayers in a variety of ways.
Prosperity Prayer #1 will appear here tomorrow. Each subsequent prayer will appear in the next 10 weekdays, here at https://prayerfullife.com. To view and/or download all 10 Prosperity Prayers click here.
So, to apply Praying Prosperity you will need each day’s Prosperity Prayer, either on your computer or downloaded and printed. You will also need a journal and a pen. Select a journal you are totally comfortable looking at, holding, carrying, and writing in. Keep in mind your journal’s:
- Format: spiral or bound; hard cover or soft cover;
- Look: color, pattern/decorations;
- Feel: weight, size, texture;
- Paper/Page: lined or grid or unlined, paper weight and color
Choose a pen you enjoy holding and using to write. The feel of the pen in your hand is important and so is the size of the pen’s point: broad? medium? fine? The color of ink may matter to you as well.
I recommend you select or create a special place in which you pray prosperity. It should be a place where you are comfortable. You may wish to include visual, sound, and/or scent elements. Looking at pictures, views from a window, and pieces of art that you enjoy can create a prayerful peace of mind. Pleasing music, chimes, or gentle water fountains can do the same. You may wish to burn incense or have fragrant flowers nearby.
Next, pick the best time of day for you to Pray Prosperity. Try your best to stick to that time. Once you find the time best for your physical/emotional rhythms, you’ll soon feel an eagerness for that time to arrive so you can start Praying Prosperity.
I hope you will enjoy the 10 Prosperity Prayers in whatever way satisfies and pleases you personally. Several suggestions appear below. Consider one or more of the suggestions, being careful not to overwhelm your efforts. Start with a procedure you like. Feel free to change any part of your procedure if necessary to make it easy and pleasing for you to complete the 4×10, 40-day cycle.
SUGGESTIONS:
- Start each daily Praying Prosperity session by sitting comfortably in your chair, cushion, hammock….Take 3-5 deep, slow breaths. Allow each inhale to fill you with peace, harmony, and awareness that Spirit is flowing through every part of your being. With each exhale empty your lungs completely, clearing out all tensions, distractions, and concerns.
- Ground and center your Self even more with a prayer of your own. You may say a familiar prayer each day, or you may pray spontaneously every day. This may be a prayer about Praying Prosperity, or it may be completely unrelated.
- Read the day’s Prosperity Prayer slowly, silently. Now, read it again, this time slowly and aloud. Hear your voice; feel the words’ meaning.
- Write the prayer at the top of a fresh page in your journal. Take your time writing. Allow awareness of your mind, of your eyes, and of your hand to unite. Now, read the prayer as it is written by your hand.
- Meditate on the prayer. You may select a specific word or phrase. You may visualize what the prayer says and means to you. You may clear your mind and be receptive to a stream of feelings, without trapping or chasing any of them. 5-15 minutes are an appropriate amount of time to meditate.
- Write your feelings and thoughts to the Prosperity Prayer on the same page, below the prayer. You may write any mixture of feelings, thoughts, ideas, questions, concerns, and/or images the prayer stimulates in you. Allow your writing to flow; do not worry about “correctness”. When you’ve finished writing, breathe deeply once or twice. Now, place your pen on the journal page after the last word you wrote. Give your Self a chance to write more. [By writing each Prosperity Prayer on its own page, you can go back later and add more thoughts, feelings, ideas…]
- Finish your Praying Prosperity session with a few more very deep, very peaceful breaths. You may like to say a prayer of thanks or praise or simple closure. Be calm and gentle as you allow your mind to move into other areas of your “normal” life.
I hope you will cycle through the 10 Prosperity Prayers 4 times, completing Praying Prosperity in 40 days. You get to decide how to discipline yourself if you miss a day. Will you force yourself to restart with Prayer #1 or just continue with the next Prosperity Prayer?
