Life’s fabric
We can sometimes feel like life’s coming apart, like our tapestry is unraveling.
A bit of dizziness lasts several days.
The MRI notes an aneurysm.
The specialist and a CAT-scan affirm it should be taken care of quickly.
The surgery to “seal off” the aneurism is a several-hours endeavor.
It is successful and it causes a very mild stroke, a not unusual side effect.
Each of these is one thread, seeming to loosen the cloth of life.
Here’s the prayer I’ve said maybe 100 times already this week:
Sweet Presence,
Your warmth and strength weave through the fabric or our lives.
Your grace and love lift the meaning and the being of our lives.
Your power and peace cradle the tenderness you made us.
And so it is. Amen.
Your warmth and strength weave through the fabric or our lives.
Your grace and love lift the meaning and the being of our lives.
Your power and peace cradle the tenderness you made us.
And so it is. Amen.
Love,
