Hometown God
All that I am, all that I do,
is the Divine Presence expressing through me.
Knowing that God expresses itself through me prevents any feeling that God and I are separate beings. Feeling, believing, thinking, and affirming all lead to knowing.
As I allow myself to believe that God created you and me as expressions of Spirit, I can know I am of God, one with God. Not “from” God and so, not apart from God.
I keep thinking about hometowns. When we love and identify completely with our hometown, it doesn’t matter how distant we may live from that hometown. We do not feel we are apart from the town. We feel forever a part of the town, its culture, its pulse, its vitality. We can feel that way about God by recognizing, identifying the true identity we have as one with God.
We are not from God. It is not as if God made us, put us here and then pulled away…or pushed us away. God expressed us. God continues to express through everything we are, everything we say, everything we do.
God is flowing through our being as perfect life. We are manifestations of the energy, the love, the peace and the power of Spirit.
That’s pretty much to be thankful for!
