Expressing Peace. Finished Chore. 11.

Peace of Being Done

Chore Done: Peace

The wonderful peace of a finished chore or task.

The satisfaction that it no longer awaits being done. The relief that even though there’s a definite “next time”, for now the chore’s off the to do list. The box no longer waits on being cleaned, it no longer nags, “get it done, get it done.” It no longer poses the hurdle of gathering equipment, getting stuff out of the way. The scooping, bagging, throwing away are done. The satisfaction of being sure it’s all been cleaned and everything can now be put away.

The finished chore delivers peace, lets me know the simple, beautiful connection between my spiritual Peace and the comfort and calm of a task now finished, out of the way.

Doesn’t matter the chore. Cat litter. Dirty dishes. Lawn mowing. Car washing. Grocery shopping. Floor mopping. The wholesome peace from the finished job can link us directly to the complete, spiritual Peace we are.

Cleaned litter box or shiny car brings a satisfying peace of mind. Let that remind of the satisfying Peace that always fills our Being. We only have to notice. We only have to call it forth. We can so easily enjoy our Peace.

Giver of Peaceful Tasks,
the power of completing work refreshes us.
The satisfaction of achieving results pleases us.
The energy from finishing a chore,
the excitement from arriving at an end,
the relief from being done with task-at-hand,
for these we thank you.
And more we’re grateful that these remind us of the Perfect Peace,
the Peace we learn to understand
as beyond our physical being.
That Peace from which we are created,
that Peace we allow ourselves to know and relish.
We thank you, Giver of Peace!
And so it is.
Amen. Amen.

Enjoy Peace. Express Peace.
